La Folie Douce. The best apres –ski in Espace Killy without doubt. Crowded, fun, colourful and loud. Situated at the top of a Daille cable car, with easy access of a green run to ski in ski out (if you are capable of standing again!), is by far the place to party on the piste in beautiful resort of Val d’Isere in Espace Killy ski area.
The first thing you discover in the Folie Douce’s little red book, is the philosophy that pushes the brand. There is a strong sense of a community of generations, nationalities and personalities all united on a platform of artistic and culinary expression set in the most beautiful background In the world. Located in the heart of the French Alp’s, the Folie Douce’s home is located across six beautiful resorts: Val d’Isere, Val Thornes, Meribel, Alpe d’Huez and Saint Gervais/Megeve.
For those wanting to visit the Folie Douce, with the sole intention to enjoy some apres-ski, you’ll find that music plays through the day. A more lounge style music plays during restaurant hours, which evolves into a cabaret show to then full on EDM music from three o’clock onwards.
Although it is important to stress the fact that the Folie Douce is more than just nightclub on the slopes. For the foodies out there, the Folie prides itself on a range of culinary delights. The very aesthetically pleasing self-service restaurant, Nuvoself is open from midday and offers snack food for a very reasonable price per head. The modern and elegant mountain restaurant, La Fruitere includes a menu rich in locally produced goods alongside a truly special gourmet experience.
